Anyone know abuot ADA

I went to the expo at the Watermill last night, I was very impressed with one photographer for ADA. Anthony in the Smithtown office. His photos were much different than the others. Has anyone used him?

I was extremely unhappy with the photographer I think you are referring to. He works from the Smithtown office. Here is a Shutterfly link to our pictures
you might like what he did but I did not.
I am trying to put my album together and everytine I look at the proofs I get so upset that I put them away
He did not take pictures I specifically requested.
He took outdoor pictures with everyone squinting
He took almost no close ups
He took almost no 'intimate / special ' moments
All the family portraits have a half wall / half window in the background and a plant sticking out of someones head

Not a happy camper here

FM me any Q

My ADA proofs

I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I personally was very impressed with ADA's work. I am using them for my May 2004 wedding, and can't wait to see how the pics come out. I have all the confidence, that they will look beautiful. My engagement pics came out great. There are two anthony's that work there. I am using Anthony Sande, the owner. FH, Tony & I get along great, there are no comunication problems at all. I don't think that you should shy away from checking out a photographer that you are interested in because of opinions. Everyone has different taste and opinions. Good Luck!

I am using ADA. We got our-pics back & they came out great. I have also seen some albums from people I know who used them & they were totally fine. Plus, we made sure the photog. we originally met with put his name on our contract so they can't pull the old switcheroo on us at the last minute. That's always a good thing to do no matter which studio you go with.

Choosing a photog. is a totally personal decision. We were on a budget & ADA had a great package. I have friends who spent 2x as much on photogs that come highly recommended by brides on here & other chatboards & some of them were well worth it and others don't look any better than the ADA albums I've seen. It's kind of a crap shoot really. It's the only vendor that you will have no idea how good of a job they do until AFTER the wedding, unfortunately. Believe me, I plan on doing a major wedding review after I get married next month & I am hoping to be able to post how great my pics came out. If I can't, then I will be one angry, poison pen letter bride (LOL!)

Who is photographing your wedding?

Re: Anyone know abuot ADA

Jar823, you were one of the only people on here that had good things to say about them - I remember being so happy to read one of your posts! Anthony Janetti from the Selden office is doing our wedding b/c that's who we originally met with but Tony Messina did our e-pics at the Watermill b/c we live right near there & it was easier to just go there on a weeknight to get them done. I had a friend who used them & a guy that I work with also used them so I saw their albums and they were fine. I have my final meeting with them next week so I plan on discussing my concerns with them just so we are on the same page. I will definitely post my review!

I used ada I can show you some pics- They are very traditional - I really wanted some more phojournalistic shots but i was happy with the traditional ones that I got- and the price was right at that time. If you are on a budget they are perfect but if you have money to spend you may want to check some of the other higher end photographers. jmo

This should work

antoinette - I can't open your link. I'd love to see the 'enhanced' look

Lil'Lass - it didn't actually rain on our wedding day, just overcast. What annoys me the most about our pictures is the family posed portraits and the wall / window background, with the plant growing out of someones head at all times
