do you know the area of greenlawn?
Have no clue about Greenlawn...that's why I am asking. Our real estate agent wants to show us some homes in the area but wasn't really sure what to expect.

go check it out, you'll know if the certain areas are right of you! if you find a house let us know a general area and we will let you know if its good or bad! :)

I grew up in Greenlawn. There are some not so desirable areas, but you will be able to tell that right away. The schools are either Elwood or Harborfields, which are both good.

I have friends who live in Greenlawn and her daughter goes to elementary school at the new one in Centerport (and she lives a little south of Pulaski, a little west of Park)

Harborfields is a good SD, so I'd say that any part of town in that district (maybe the whole town?) would be a good bet if you're looking in that part of the island.

I live in Huntington (Harborfields SD) and border Centerport & Greenlawn.
Anything north of Pulaski, you don't have to worry about the neighborhoods. The homes/communities South of Pulaski, but between Cuba Hill Rd and Elwood are nice as well. South of Pulaski can get touchy around Broadway.

I was a mail carrier in greenlawn and as stated before there are some nice parts and some not so nice parts, but you will be able to tell when you look at houses.

There are more nice parts than not. It is worth looking there. It is a nice place to live, safe, great schools. I grew up there and went to HF.

Some areas are very very nice. Others are a little scarey. You'll know right away when you see the house. I grew up and live in Northport, which is the town right next to Greenlawn. Northport is beautiful - you can go to the harbor and the village and there are 2 big parks for the kids right there.
