I need your help!! My florist showed me a sample of flowers today and they are way off from the lavendar that my dresses are. My girls are wearing The dress below. My florist showed me these roses they are called bluebird, which is supposed to be a lavendar flower but they look pink and would look silly with the dress, No?
Isn't their a Lavendar rose out there to match????
I actually like the contrast of the pink with the purple. If you get flowers that are exactly the same shade as the dress, they won't stand out at all

I have to agree. Yes, there are roses in that shade of purple (look at MrsWask's flowers) but I think the light pink/purple ones you posted are gorgeous.

I kind of agree with you, but I've never been a fan of pink and purple together. What about a dark purple to go with the lavender?? Yes, there are lilac colored roses.

yeah...I wouldn't do lavendar roses with a lavendar dress....you need some contrast there...I like the bluebirds...but I would also add some ivory and maybe some blues....

i think the flowers are a perfect contrast to your lavendar dresses - i agree with what the other girls said...you shouldn't try to match the flowers exactly...you need contrast and definition against the dress.

i appreciate the responses... My Bo-K was going to be all roses-Mostly white with a few lavendar. My MOH was going to be purple with a few white (opposite contrast to mine since MOH has the same dress) My other maids were going to have a lavendar with Stanotis. I don't know how all these lavedar roses are around but my florist cannot find them???

Do different shades of pinks and lavendars....you need a little contrast. You dont want it to just blend it.

What you want exists. They're called 'lilac roses' or 'purple roses'...this is a picture.

What do you want to know? There are more pictures in the link I posted above. My sister had the same color flowers and my aunt bought them from the flower market in Chelsea, they're seriously not hard to find.

My girls are wearing lilac and violet, similar to your lavendar. My florist actually told me not to go with the same color, she suggested that I get something that 'popped' more. She showed me pics where girls carried flowers that were the same color and their BoKs kinda blended in with their dresses. I'm actually thinking of going with some pink like the flowers that you posted, I think they look really nice together!!!
Thanks Ladies! FH told me to forget it for now and I will call her tomorrow. Thanks for those that made suggestions and FM's. I know their are lilac/lavender flowers and for her to tell me NO bugs me. Grr.. Well at least I have some time Thanks again! If you see anything please post
