anyone know how jcrew sizes run?

according to their site I am a '4' in bust, '6' in waste and '8' in hips... rrrr

which size you think I shoud go with for htis dress??? I am bigger in the hips and fairly small in the chest, with a tiny waste (for my size)

hard to order online, at least i should have time to send it back and order a diff one LOL

I'd go for the 6.

J-Crew sizes run pretty true to size, I think..maybe a little big. I am VERY big on top, and I gt sweaters thre..and I can choose form large or XL depending on how I want it to fit. And with most other stores I can only get XL, and sometimes not even then. But those are sweaters..I don't know for dresses, but from what I've seen, I think they're on the slightly large side of normal.

Iam thinking I will start witha 6, and if I have to exchange it for 8 or 4.. we'll see LOL

if its just a little off I am handy with a sewign machine, I can probably take it in.
