I tried to set up this weekend but they said I have to actually send a paper in n it takes some time???

there is a form that you need to fill out and send in along with a check- do a search here and it will bring you the threads that have the website posted. I know in BK you have to have your check and pick of class at least 2 months prior to the date you would like to take it.

Go to your home parish, or the church where you are getting married. There is usually someone there who handles scheduling Pre-Cana and Focus (but not all parishes require Focus)

I just went to Focus last night to go over our results. They told me that they have to send in the required paperwork and the Church will contact me. Considering it took them 3 months to call us back about Focus, I doubt they will be calling until after the holidays.

My church does their own pre-cana, so we just set it up with the Deacon.

I was given a book by my priest in my parish with all the information on Pre Cana. I forgot about it/lost the book and found the Brooklyn-Queens Diocese website http://www.dioceseofbrooklyn.org/ministries/family_life/marriage/
I called the Family Life office and even though you are supposed to submit paperwork at least 2 months in advance they told me the date I wanted was still open and I mailed out the form and check 3 weeks before. Wasn't a problem at all!!
