I'm not 100% sure, but I'm guessing that you actually have to use a sewing machine in the center of the program to attach the fabric.
i agree.....print them up and cut the fabric..and sew it on.....or maybe you can get that double sided sticky stuff you use to hem clothes.....it lasts a while but not forever ( thats when you are wearing the clothes)..but for this i think it would work

Re: Anyone know how to make this program?
You dont need to hem the edges..its cut with fabric shears that give it that edge to prevent fraying.
You could sew the ribbon to the paper or just glue it down in the spine and then glue the ribbon on top.
Just a warning - this silk moire ribbon is REALLY expensive. Gorgeous but expensive.

Stef, would you also need the inside cover to be on the thicker side to prevent the program from being too 'floppy'? I'm curious because I was thinking about doing something like this with the extra fabric from my table runner project

I actually cut this out of Martha Stewart months and months ago and had it in my binder forever!! And of course I threw it out about 2 weeks ago. If I remember, It was pretty labor intensive.

This is one of those projects that you really need to test it out. Factors like the thickness and stiffness of the ribbon, the # of pages in your booklet, etc.. will all play a factor. Making this item too thick might take away from the beautiful movement of the silk..but making it too thin will make it seem cheap. In the end its personal preference on how stiff you want a program to be.

Thanks everyone! So the ribbon is silk moire? Any idea of what kind of fabric to use? Thanks again!

Nevermind my previous question, thought about it some more and found the answer...
BUMP...Hoping there may be more people out there with another idea on how to bind them together. Does anyone have the issue of MS that it was featured in to check for me? I'm trying so hard to avoid sewing it. What are some other alternatives?

those programs are really pretty. Do you think you can bind it together with a hot glue gun? It might burn the fabric though or leave dots on the material.
