Riu Palace Punta Cana will be all inclusive. Its opening on July 20, 2007. The Riu have an amazing chain and I am sure the Riu in Aruba will be amazing.

Also Tamarijn Aruba is another all inclusive. Its located right next to the Divi and you have exchange privledges with the Divi, meaning that you can use all the facilities of both the Divi and Tamarijn and vice versa.
I don't know if the Bucuti is all incluvise, I'm not familiar with that property.

I love the Divi. I was there a couple of years ago and had a fabulous time! FHs friends recommended it to us - they spend 2 weeks there every year and they dont leave the resort.

we know two couples who went to the Divi, one couple loved it and the other not so much...I have heard such good things about that place...but I assumed it would be super crowded?

we are going to aruba this summer. staying that the raddison. FMIL is a travel agent, said there are so many placed to eat in Aruba you really dont need to be all inclusive (and we love Sandals).
I know lots of you have stayed at the Divi, but FMIL says its only rated 2 stars.. she also said its older, i was really surprised. but she has never been there.. so def ask someone who has been there.

I stayed at the Occidental. It was all inclusive, it had a 'club' there but we took a cab to Carlos and Charlie's almost every night. There is also a place across the street that is open even later.
They have redone the Occidental since I have been there though.

Yeah it doesnt have a high star rating (which I am really suprised about btw) and it was not super crowded. We never had a problem getting a chair on the beach or a reservation at one of the restaurants. The staff was amazing and so was the food. I have stayed at a 4 star place in Jamaica and a 5 star in Cancun and I think that the divi was right in line with both of those resorts without a doubt!
