anyone know much about Computer forensics?

I have a question if anyone knows anything about it....

nah, i was just trying to figure out which program to enter to focus on computer forensics (or related fields).
But i figured out what i'm going to do.

What program(s) are you considering?

My father's background is accounting, but he does computer forensics. He started out investigating financial crimes, but now he deals mostly with child pornography.

Sounds like a cool job to me. Nothing better than busting someone for something nasty like that... especially when its computer related.

My husband is in computer forensics. Wow! No one is ever into that job. He works at one of the big four firms there as a director in Electronic Evidence Consulting and basically does what is known as 'Forensic Accounting' off the computers.
Lawyers hire his team to help prove their case if they feel the evidence is in the computer. It is really cool. I am afriad to write an email because if you delete it, it isn't really deleted. He could still get it! Lol!
If you want any information, I'm sure he could help you. He majored in finance, got his masters in Systems Management at NYU (that was helpful), and is going for his CPA. Other guys that work for him though in the field just have a bachelors degree and that is fine. Some of his bosses have their law degree. Hope that helps.

I was debating whether to go for a criminal justice or Information systems security program with ITT Tech. (online B.S.) I went with Criminal Justice.... its more what i'm looking for, since there are a lot of computer classes in that program. ISS was just too much into programming, which i DON'T want to do.
But I'm going to do more network security training on the side (my job has a 'learning portal' online where you can take mini classes).
In the meantime I applied to a large forensic company in DC as a help desk person (which is what i do now, crossing my fingers). I may need to use some of these girls resume expertise though.

My dream is to either go into cryptanalysis or forensics... we'll see what happens.
