Ok so FH was in grad school to become a gym teacher but decided it wasn't for him so he didn't register this semester. He doesnt know what he wants to do but he has a bachelors in Political Science and business minor. The only work experience he has is in carpentry. Does anyone happen to know of any job openings. He is in a rut!
Was he in the carpenter's union? He can always do that to make money until something comes up.

hes an engineer, but its a huge company and theres alot of types of positions, like his brother works on the sales side and they never even work together.

hes an engineer, but its a huge company and theres alot of types of positions, like his brother works on the sales side and they never even work together.

If he really likes construction he shoul d join a union. Fh works in construction, but for a major General Contracting company in the city. He's not union, but he says the union laborers get paid really really well, they have great benefits and best part is, they're done with work at like 3pm. And if they won't overtime there's usually always opportunities for night and weekend work as well. He should look into it career-wise though I'm pretty sure he'd have to start out doing an apprenticeship, I know it's like that for the electricians so I'd imagine it's standard union practice.

well theres no construction, FH does commercial buildings and writes the software to get everything in the building running on a system and then gets everything to work too and setting it all up, hes a mechanical engineer. But theres other types of positions too. Like he works with electricians, and others who also help
Also fhs friend just opened up his own business, its an electrician company, does he know that?

ugh, I didn't know that, i thought you could just apply for a union membership and then do an apprenticeship. I hate having to 'know people'. Well, I wish him luck!![]()

Well FH works on sites, but theres also an office which he doesnt work at only when he has to go give his expense sheet and go for meetings or whatever. Thats where they do sales and deal with the companies that hire them.
