I haven't seen one lately. I am using them since my cousin used them in 2004 and my friend in 2005. The pics came out great. They have high and low packages. Remeber you get waht you pay for so be wary of some reviews.

We are also using them. I love Big Johns personality. I meet with 5 others photographers also but never had that same confident feeling that I got after meeeting John. He had great work ane he took his time going over everything with us.

Everyone has their own opinions with respect to each vendor they have picked. We looked at ADA, and went somewhere else. FM for why we made our decision not to use them.

I have noticed that on this site there are MANY mixed reviews about ADA. Personally, I have had 2 best friends that have used them and their pics came out BEAUTIFUL! I am using them as well, and know a co-worker that is using them too. They are the house vendors for SEVERAL reception halls and my thinking is - if they are good enough to be recommended by almost every hall in Suffolk County, then they must do good work. JMO

Agreed. FM me for details. My MOH used them in 2004 and was highly disappointed. They left her wedding early and left the apprentice in the end to take the shots, which all came out blurry.

Just a note about halls recommending vendors - each and every 'preferred' vendor pays a fee to the hall to be on the list, and in some cases kicks back a portion of the fee they get from the bride & groom in addition.
I personally don't consider a hall recommendation of a vendor to be a ringing endorsement of their quality. ADA is on their list. They are NOT my photographer. Marco Photography is also on their list. My sister used them, and told me she wouldn't recommend I use them. I am using exactly ONE of my halls recommended vendors. I made that selection after shopping around, conducting interviews and asking tons of questions.

I have done the same thing as far as research goes, and by no means would I use EVERY vendor on my hall's recommended list. I am using only one. However, I highly doubt that if a vendor did consistently poor quality work that they would be on sooo many halls list of vendors as well as photographing over a thousand weddings a year.

I am using one of my halls prefered vendors but I didn't even know she was one of them until I actually met her. It was just a coincedence!

just wanted to add and agree that just because a hall 'reccomends' a vendor, does not mean they are good. It just means they paid the fee to be house vendors there. and they pay a lot of money to do that. I don't know anything about ADA good or bad, but the vendor issue is true.

there is a questionable limo company and florist that is always complained about on LIW that are recommended vendors for some halls!!! i doubt the halls really check up on the satisfaction of the brides, they just want the $$$$$ to make them a 'preferred vendor' i actually refused to book most of my halls vendors--they were shady and i got bad vibes
