I found a picture of a dress I love but I can not seem to find it anywhere and the shops I have been to can not pinpoint the dress or the designer. I am interested in getting prices on having it made. Does anyone know of anyone on Long Island where I can have a dress made? Please let me know. Thanks
Go to the weddingchannel.com. On the local New York message board there are several recommendations for dressmakers. Someone who posts as Bliss suggested a woman in Astoria named Helena. She did her mother's dress and her bridesmaids dress and will do anything from a photo for a fraction of the price of an original. She has also posted pictures of the dresses on the thread.
