anyone know someone who tries to buy love?

my dad just bought a rolex watch for my mom, 7,000 dollars.
(hes been pretty terrible to her lately)

He buys these things left and right and doesnt realize that all she needs is a good husband...she hates material items...

anyone else know smeone like that? Tries to buy love? Why do they do that?lol

I used to date someone like that. He would treat me like crap and then buy me things. After a while I mentally checked out of the relationship but stayed with him for another few months cause there was a really nice Prada bag I wanted ... Is that bad

But I know what you mean ... Sometimes people just don't get it. They think saying sorry all the time or buying things makes it better ... Well it doesn't!

I know lots of people like this, I think it's so sad and pathetic how clueless some people can be

I know someone worse. Someone who was proposed to by a guy like this and stayed with him for years for dinners and all the lovely material gifts she got. The best part was she had us all fooled the whole time. I couldn't believe it when she left him. I thought they were both completely in love. Turns out he was a jerk and she used him for every penny for years!
