Anyone know the fastest way to get to Adelphi from Southwest Nassau?

Anyone know the fastest way to get to Adelphi from Southwest Nassau?

Long Beach, Oceanside, etc.

I start work there tomorrow and the last time I went I took Nassau Blvd all the way up - which is the suggested route to go - took almost 45 minutes though!

Any quicker routes?

I have one!

Take N. Village Ave (In RVC) all the way up to Mercy Medical Center and get onto Penninsula Blvd.

At President St make a left and take that around the turn (past Hempstead High, over hempstead Tpke)

President St turns into Cathedral Ave.

Stay on that for a while and make a left at 6th Ave (it will look like you're cutting through the church ground).

Go through the light and around the curve which takes you to South Ave and the entrance of Adelphi (at Levimore Hall)

Well, I find that N Village is always fast, and Cathedral Ave is pretty good too.

You have to pass 2 high schools (Hempstead and Sacred Heart) so depending on the time of day it can be a pain, but I always had luck getting to Adelphi by that route, and I'd be driving home during rush hour sometimes.

I can't promise, but try it out! Which building do you have to go to? If you make a left onto 1st St from Cathedral Ave, and bear left onto Cambridge Ave (you'll be winding next to a golf course) Adelphi will be on your right and you'll be near Post Hall and Harvey Hall.

I don't know the campus at all but I know I have to go to Hagedorn.

THis is still going to take a good 40-45 minutes - don't you think?

It could, but I've made it from Oceanside to Adelphi in about 20-30 minutes. There are less lights and less traffic.

And Hagedorn Hall is easy to find. Take the first route I gave you (6th Ave to South St) Adelphi will be on your left, make the first left onto campus and you'll be in a big parking lot with a weird looking building immediately on your right (that's the University Center). Hagedorn is just past that, it's a long, gray building.
