I heard you must have an an acre and a quarter of land in order to build a house. Is this true? Thanks girls

I believe that's about right. You can call the Town of Huntington at (631) 351-3210 to confirm.
Edited to say- you will have to call them with your address or even better your Suffolk County Tax Map #. Do you have a survey of the land? It will be on there. It starts with a 400.
Dix Hills zoning varies throughout the town.

Don't know, but I live in Dix Hills and our house is on about an acre, not over.
