I live in North Brentwood, and I import my Chinese food from Commack. Most Brentwood places don't have brown rice. Who heard of such a thing.

OK, now I'm frightened. We may have too much in common!!! I live... i guess in South Brentwood? The zip code is Bay Shore, but I live at Brentwood Rd. and Spur Drive North.
ETA- Where in Commack? I work in Hauppauge/ Commack.

I feel your pain. I'm in West Babylon and we've lived there for about a year and a half and have yet to find amazing chinese... I'm not too picky but FH is... I have found amazing sushi though!

Well technically you are Bay Shore, cause you would have gone to Bay Shore high school living over there. So you can't claim BrentHood, sorry! I think once you hit Spur South, it is Bay Shore school district.
You are way close to me.
I always go to China Garden on Motor Pkwy in the Waldbaums shopping center for take out. Across the street from the Bonwitt. You know where I mean? You can eat in there too though. But if I feel like eating in I will usually go to Tofu on Jericho Tpke.

omg-i think you are like 6-7 min. from my office. (i'm live in n. brentwood by suffolk community college, but work in bay shore) my office is near the entenmann's bakery.
it's a little pricey, but i think some of the best chinese is at King's Wok on Main Street in Islip. not far from you. you can sit down or take out.

Ummm, that Waldbaums is currently where I do my food shopping, because I hate Best Yet and the other supermarkets around my home kind of scare me... Where do you go food shopping?

I go to Stop N Shop, mostly the one in Commack on Jericho near the Sears mall. They have the best selection of veggie products IMO. And Trader Joe's is across the street.
Sometimes I go to the one in Deer Park by the train station because Vic works in Manhattan and I pick him up from that station.
Have you tried the Shop Rite off of Sunrise by Home Depot/Pier One? That would be close to you and it's not so bad.
