Re: Not sure if this is the right place to post...
NWR might yield a better result, and maybe asking the question in the subject line. I think it could go either way but NWR gets a lot more traffic; this board has mostly chat about home shopping, decorating, etc.
If you are in the 5 boroughs (like me) you can dial 311.

Re: Not sure if this is the right place to post...
We had a pulmonary doc who purchased a house a few houses away from my parents. It was zoned to be a family home/medical office. Too bad he didn't live there and just picked up the house because it was prime real estate by MidIsland Hospital.
No one really had a problem with him too much except that on certain days parking was insane (which didn't really bother us because we could park in our driveways and most of the traffic was when we were at school or work. Our major concern was the increase in super feeble patients who were walking across all over my parents property and my other nieghbors and in most cases were patients who weren't doing well at all at all.
Now, don't get me wrong it was nice to have a doc in the area but everyone was terrified because once in a while you would see his patients fall on everyone's residental areas opening the residents up to lawsuits..
Long story short petitions were signed he got fined and he ended up marrying his office manager and somewhat starting living at that house a few nights a week, he also started changing his scheduling so they could park closer to his property or that he could have one of his nurses walk them to their car.
I would say the only way to do it is through the town to see if the building is correct and also maybe requesting an anonoymous audit on their insurance and liscense.

Re: Anyone live on the same block as a business???
We rented a house directly across the street from an autobody. It was awful. Wrecked cars were all over the street and the noise was unreal. If we had people over they had to park down the block. I am so happy we are out of there.
I feel your pain
ETA: We always called the police but I think they were paying them off.
