anyone living through construction?

We are renovating our kitchen and bathroom....I can't believe how stressful it is. When we bought the house last year, we had no $$ to fix anything. Now we are living in a complete mess. I can't wait until it's over.

Sorry....had to vent.

I completely understand! We were living in a constant state of 'destruction/construction' for 3 years! But the serious construction lasted for about 3 months...and wouldn't ya know..it was the three months before I took my NY Bar exam! I had to move back home with my parents!

I feel or you! But it will all be worth it in the end!

I hear ya.... we just completed a bathroom project. The contractor kept saying 2 weeks, 2 weeks (shades of the Money Pit). Well, six months later - we have a gorgeous bathroom.

But what a mess and such a hassle whether it's you can't run the water today or this fixture does not come in the color you wanted. I'm getting a headache just thinking about it.

I also couldn't stand the dust, especially when sanding down the spackle! Aughhhhh, I felt like I had that stuff in my lungs for months!
