im going down girls!!this is the problem..my fh was married once before in a methodist church..im catholic and so is he..we booked a catholic church in bayport and my fh told the deacon that he was never married before and i agreed...I LIED TO A DEACON!!! we are so scared and now we are changing churches to a luthern one in bayshore ..we havent met with the pastor there yet but i dont know anything about this religion..are they going to ask me questions? i want to get married in a church..will they let me and will i have to change my religion because of it..what should i do?

I am a Lutheran - there are two main synods of the Lutheran denomination: The Missouri Synod which tends to have stricter 'rules' and the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA). The ELCA is a little more lenient. Either church will marry you, regardless if you are divorced or not.

i was raised catholic but fh is Lutheran...evengelical ...so they accept anyone
the actual papers we got from his pastor say that anyone may be married there...divorced and what not
if you have any other questions about what the info we got from pastor says, dont hesitate to forum mail me....i know what youre going through
i was so scared to get married in a different church....but they are really nice- only thing is he keeps bugging us to go to church...oh well!
