Anyone make their own invites?

I just can't find anything I love. I inquired about having them custom made, but the ones that I received...I think I could make better myself. Anyone? If so...please show me pictures! Thanks much.

Initially I was going to but I am making so many other things, that I will not have enough time(I work FT and go to school PT). Also, I really wanted thermography on mine and I could not get that on my own.

At first I was going to, but I just didn't have the time to commit to it. My moms friend made her daughters invites on the computer and they were beautiful. She actualoly gave us the computer progrm to make them. They sell the programs and paper to make them in office max, I remember looking at them!!Good Luck!!! No matter what you pick they will be beautiful because they are your invitations!!

I made invites for a friend's shower using a wedding invitation kit I got from staples. It was super easy and a lot of fun!

we made ours! We used handmade silk paper and vellum from Marco Paper.

It was a time consuming project, but we did it together and I'm glad that we did.

They came out great.

Also have you thought about having someone custom make them for you?

Yes...I thought about getting them custom made...but the samples that I was shown from those vendors...I didn't love...I though I could make them better myself. Thanks for all your help.

not sure which vendors you checked out, but Laura from LA Productions made ours and we loved them!!

My brother made his own on the computer and they were nice but they were not traditional wedding invites.

And I thought about doing ours, but I figure, don't I have enough to do?? And didn't want to stress over having to finish by a certain time.

I'm making mine as well.

They'll look like this, maybe without such big petals, but with this great font for our names (bickham script) and the font 'lilith' for the rest. And with an organza ribbon.

I got the paper at artpaper.com Mugal Rose - $50 for 100 8x 10 sheets. The invites will be 4 3/4 by 6 3/4. The extra scraps I'll use for reply cards and place cards.
