Anyone make Tilapia?

Anyone make Tilapia?

Making some for FH and I tonight :). Yum! I usually grill it with aome adobo seasoning, fresh squeezed lime and parmesan cheese.

Stupid me forgot to get a lime. What else could I put on it? Salsa?

WHen we moved I think we gave our George Foreman grill to my parents, and I am NOT grilling outside as it is already below zero degrees. Will it be ok cooked in a pan?

mmm yummy! i always make tilapia and any fish for that matter lightly wrapped in foil. i put dill, lemon and a little butter and lightly wrap it in foil and bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. the foil will keep it so moist!

I usually dredge it in seasoned flour and pan fry it. Sometimes I'll make a remoulade (spelling) with mayo, red onion and what ever else I feel like throwing in it and put it on top of the fish when its cooked.

sometimes we broil it in the over with chopped garlic and parsley on it, let it cook and then put some white wine over it and paprika -- it's yummy

Sometimes I cut up some fresh veggies and wrap it in parchment paper with the veggies, lemon juice, adobe, pepper, salt, and a little garlic. Bake at 350 for about 25 min

I put a little olive oil, adobo, dab of butter, a little bit of crushed ritz crackers, minced garlic, and parm cheese and wrapped in tinfoil and baked in the oven- it came out AMAZING!

had it with some fresh squash and zucchini, yumm! FH was very impressed, haha

Not a cook- what is adobe?
When you cook fish... do you need to prepare it like chicken... like how you cut out the fat in chicken? I know there isn't any fat in fish but is there other stuff to cut out. I don't think I could handle it if I saw the 'skin' of the fish attached...
I really need to start eating fish and healthy stuff like that but it just grosses me out so much. I've forced myself before and it tastes good... but its so different from what I normally eat that I get squimish. I used to only eat chicken but I will eat red meat if I am out and its prepared for me (unless its a burger... I can cook those). I don't have the slightest clue how to cook any kind of steak on my own. I don't eat pork.... Basically, I only know how to cook chicken and thats it.
Someone explain this all to me lol.

Tilapia is a white flaky fish, not 'fishy' at all like salmon or some others can be.

They sell it frozen or fresh, I bought a package of fresh tonight, no skin or bones so it's really easy

I didn't do anything else other than what I listed above! It came out awesome!

Adobo is a type of seasoning salt, really good on chicken and fish. Although I tend to find it in the ethnic food section instead of the seasonings section.
