out of state or away from LI after you get married? My FI and I are looking to leave this crazy expensive place....somewhere in the Northeast...Any suggestions?

Tell me about it!! I would love to leave LI too!! But I cant leave my mom and grandma...Its too damn expensive here though!! Ive heard rhode island is nice or penn.

We moved to Northern VA two years ago, and we LOVE it, it is so much cheaper to live!!

I would recommend the state of rhode Island...my fiancee moved here..we did ithe long distance thing by ferry, car, plane, etc..for 4 yers...I love it up there and had considered moving...I got a job here though so we decided he would move...who knows though I wouldn't be opposed to moving there one day...it's beautiful...

I know from many college friends that live in Rhode Island that many of its towns are NOT much cheaper than NY. FH and I are planning to move to Florida...possibly the Tampa area. We have some friends there and his parents live near Orlando....also, my parents go to Disney like 100 times a year. Seems like the most logical, inexpensive plave

So far we are looking into conneticut, new hampshire, vermont and upstate....I am going to be a teacher and it is really annoying switching certifications..... ahh all of this is so confusing!!

Florida is beautiful!! I would love to live there...don't like the hurricanes though..
FH wants to move upstate but its so isolated..i would be bored to death i think

Teaching certification in other states hasn't been difficult to get especially if you have NY certification!! I now have MD and VA certification, and did not have to do anything extra since I already had NY certification!!
