Anyone need RH help?

Anyone need RH help?

For me, the hunt for a RH was extremely stressful and exhausting. I felt like we would never find our perfect place but we did and officially booked yesterday at the Surf Club in New Rochelle. I figured I would list all of the places we visited in hopes of helping someone else going through the same thing.

We were looking for a beachy feel but still keeping a formal ballroom. At one point when we were losing hope, we started veering away and checked out a ton of other venues as well. Here's the list. I'd be happy to answer any questions about any of these, as best as I can. Many were great but were all booked up for 2012 and others just didn't 'fit us.' Here you go:

Thatched Cottage
Huntington Harbor
Gurneys
Ocean Bleu
Lands End
Royalton
Woodlands
Westbury Manor
Riviera
Green Tree
Beckwithe
Sans Souci
Swan Club
Crest Hollow
Fox Hollow
Crestwood Manor
Jedediah Hawkins
Woodbury Country Club
Sunken Meadow
Crescent Beach
East Wind
Pellegrini
(There may be more I'm forgetting)

Let me know if I can help and hello to all fellow brides and brides to be!

Re: Anyone need RH help?

Maybe you can offer up a suggestion...

My fiance and I are looking for a outdoor garden or woodsy feel with a open air, semi-formal indoors reception.

To be honest, we've be really happy with a goregous garden or pretty forest and hardwood floor, nicely lit barn (for all intents and purposes).

So far - we visited East Winds Verranda room.. we love the dark hardwood bar, woods floor, yet well lit, open space with the verranda (too bad it doesn 't have a better view).

Any suggestions.. place that are almost like a permanent tent (covered pavillion with glass doors) would be perfect

I was going to say Westbury Manor as well. We also loved the royalton mansion but this is more formal than semi-formal. Another option is having your ceremony at old westbury gardens.
