I used to, until my father died and was buried on St. Patty's Day...For the past 8 years, I have not dressed in green or celebrated it.
It just doesn't feel right to me.

I'm not irish but I used to celebrate with friends...not really anymore..

My idea of celebrating is wearing a green shirt to work...that's the extent of my celebration. I think that this day is an excuse for some people to get wasted...I HATE being on the road on this night...in fact, when I get home from college tonight I'm going right home.

Nah... we only eat Cornbeef and Cabbage on St. Patty's day... but other than that, we're past the binge drinking and wearing green.

I'm Jewish and dont really know the meaning behind it or how to properly celebrate it (all I know is people getting trashed and wearing green)
It's one of my BM's birthdays though

Neither of us are Irish, though we do still enjoy going out for St. Patty's the weekend before....so we had our celebration on Saturday. Today i'm working a double, so no celebrating for me.

yea..plus I am not irish...lol People at work are all dressed in green. I looked in my closet to see if i even have anything green to possibly wear...NEGATIVE! LOL

Same here , minus the BM's birthday part . In college I drank alot of green beer but thats about it . Everyone at work asked me why I'm not wearing green, and I explain that I am not Irish ( even though people think I am by the way I look) and they tell me everyone is Irish today .... really ??? is that what its all about
