i haven't booked hair yet.... oh yeah, or make-up... and since i'm getting married in 75 days, i really should get on that
I know i'm doing a make-up trial because im still unsure of what color scheme i want to go with.... but is anyone NOT doing a hair trial?
i seriously see it as such a waste of money. at least $50 for something that i'm going to wash out of my hair as soon as i get home. The person i'm thinking of using has doen the style that i want on Many brides, and it comes out great in every picture....
so i'm just curious if theres anyone else who isn't doing a Hair trial?? and for those that are... are you doing the trial just b/c it seems like the thing to do... or do you have real concerns about it????
thanks, ladies

Re: anyone NOT doing hair trials?
I had a trial since I didn't know how I wanted my hair done. I know what you mean about paying just to get the hair done. After I had my hair done, I went out to eat. The hair stayed in the next day

Re: anyone NOT doing hair trials?
how about your normal hair person. my girl i trust and she did an amazing job on my hair for my e-party so had that been my wedding that would have been a success. where are you from? although some people are better at updo's then others so just make sure whatever you decide to do you check it out. if your keeping it simple then you should be ok.

Re: anyone NOT doing hair trials?
I am only going to one trial just to get an idea of what I want to do the day of... I have had friends that went to about 10 and they ended up in a place where they didnt even try....
So I am staying with my local salon that just opened a bridal area....

Re: anyone NOT doing hair trials?
THank you for posting this - I was wondering if it is really nescessay.
I am SO NOT picky with my hair - and really have no desire to have it done for a trial! I dunno my mom may convince me that I need one. We will see

Re: anyone NOT doing hair trials?
I have had 3 hair trials so far and haven't loved any of them. 2 were ok, and I hated one of them.

Personally, I think its a total waste of money..... but I think I might have to go for a trial because I am not sure yet if I want to wear my hair up or down.

Re: anyone NOT doing hair trials?
I considered not doing one but I am VERY happy that I did. The hair I swore I was going to have looked wonderful when she did it. However, it fell out some hours later (when I would still have been at the reception). This is not something I would have thought about beforehand and it wasn't the person who did my hair, it was just my hair.
It's of course up to you but I think that with all the money we're spending, another $50 to guarantee you're going to love what you look like is money well spent.

Re: anyone NOT doing hair trials?
I did one and I'm glad I did for two reasons- 1- I wanted to make sure this girl actually knew what she was doing and approximately how long it would take 2- I loved how she did my hair and she replicated the picture exactly but since then I have changed my hair style and added bangs so I am confident that the day of she make the changes that I want on the spot. I hope that makes sense. Oh, and if you have seen my previous posts about DIY stuff and how to save every penny, you know that I am not big into spending my cash so this was a serious investment for me!

Re: anyone NOT doing hair trials?
I am torn about this as well. I DO NOT want to waste the $, but I pretty much stink at doing my own hair. With the rush for the new wedding date, I can't afford much. I have no idea what to do......

I would be scared not to have a trial. There are so many pretty hairstyles, but you have to make sure they flatter you. You don;t HAVE to, I am just not as brave . . .

Re: anyone NOT doing hair trials?
I am doing a trial because I seriously have absolutely no idea what hairstyle I want for my wedding. And I have never had a fancy updo before, so I have no idea how it would look on me. I think that if you are 100% sure of your style, and you know you look good with that type of style (whether it's all up, or half up, or whatever), then you don't need a trial. Trials are reserved for indecisive people like me!

Re: anyone NOT doing hair trials?
I am having one, and just one. I am going to the girl that always does my hair, I just want to see what it will look like before, and also since i am using my aunt's tiara, and she also did my aunt's hair, I want something different.

Re: anyone NOT doing hair trials?
I'm sure I SHOULD have a hair trial but I just don't know when I'm going to find time to do them since my schedule is always so up in the air. Guess I need to start on that soon. I'm just afraid I'll get addicted to it like I did with the makeup trials--nothing like going through 8 makeup trials only to book the 1st person you met with ($300+ dollars later! )
