Just curious. I feel it's a little bit of a waste. I'll probably never use them again.

Re: Anyone NOT doing special toasting flute glasses?
Im not! The hall has glasses..we can tie a ribbon on them. Same for cake server set..the hall has those too. I cant justify spending money on something I can use for free

Re: Anyone NOT doing special toasting flute glasses?
We're not. We registered for champagne glasses, but we're not bringing them to the wedding. It's just not something that's important for me to have at the wedding and therefore just another hassle. His boss gave us the toasting goblets (read: giant ugly glasses) that she bought for her wedding, but didn't use. I put them at the back of the closet never to look at again and then found out that she's planning on coming to the wedding! We're going to accidentally forget to bring them. Regular champagne glasses are fine for us.

I didn't, and wish I had.
check your hall's champagne glasses before you decide. the SC uses really old fashioned champage glasses, wish I had known that before hand. oh well.

We didn't get special flutes or cake server set. The winery had beautiful ones already and we didn't think we'll ever use them again.

I probably would not have used them, but we received them as gifts.

Re: Anyone NOT doing special toasting flute glasses?
I'm not...No offense to anyone doing them, but they seem like a waste to me...My FH said, 'With all the money we're paying for this thing, I'm not bringing my own glass.'
If someone gave flutes to me as a gift, I'd definitely use them, but I'm not going to go looking for them on my own....

Re: Anyone NOT doing special toasting flute glasses?
we got ours for free from crate and barrel, and I am actually really glad that we got and used them b/c it is the only thing from our wedding day that we have used again. (I will frame our ketubah but that is not exactly the same thing.)

Re: Anyone NOT doing special toasting flute glasses?
A co worker got me mine. I wouldn't have bought new ones though, I would have used the ones the hall provided. This wedding is costing us enough!

Re: Anyone NOT doing special toasting flute glasses?
I'm not!!!!!!!! I think they're very cute and i know people love them. Me personally IMHO... i'd rather save the money because i'm not one for keeping clutter around and IMO, they're considered clutter. My FH and i are not champagne drinkers and i can't see us ever breaking them out to celebrate... so why gather dust? But to each their own.
