just curious, we thought about it last year and wanted to do it, but then we were like, everyone who needs to know about the wedding, knows. for us, its an expense we don't need. anyone else?

I think if everyone knows you don't need to do it. It's not a MUST at all. I'm doing it b/c we have a lot of OOT people and it's close to the holidays, but if it were mostly local people or everyone knew I woudn't be sending them. My ister sent them only to OOT guests

yes, holidays and oot guests i understand...but since we are aug 4, no where near a holdiay and the oot guests are close relatives or friends who we either see or talk to often, we don't feel the need to send out any std's.

We are getting married the weekend that precedes Presidents week - a heavily traveled week for families and teachers. Had we picked any other date, we most certainly would not have done STDs.

I'm not. FH's parents are uber-slow at narrowing down their list and I just don't need the stress of having to deal with that right now!
All the close relatives/friends know when the wedding is and will be there with or without STDs!

Haha - I was gonna write the same thing. I'm hoping no STDs will help narrow out some of the more distant relatives and friends that FH's parents just NEED to invite (but I have never heard of or met..um OK )

I did them b/c it is out of town and it's a holiday weekend. It's not necessary though if you have a lot of local people and it's a local wedding. If you really feel like you need them, you can print them out at home or go to www.vistaprint.com and get magnets. they are very cheap.

we are doing them however if we were not getting married on a sun I wouldnt of done them. I just want to make sure that if some people wanna take off work plus i have out of state people too. I got my std's cheap though i got 150 of them for 80 bucks. From ebay designs by heidi They are magnets!
