I think it's supposed to stop by noon. I am also thinking of staying home today...

i am at work right now, and it wasn't that bad. I kinda like it only because it was not that cold.

Marcela, let me know what you end up doing...I can't get in touch with my boss. I am really leaning towards staying in.
I can usually kind of hear the trains and I have not heard the trains yet....I am listening for the 730 to pass.

Re: Anyone not going into the city?
A colleague of mine is going in and taking the Port Washington line too...so I really should try to go.
I am going and if the walk is just ridiculous then I will turn back. Wish me luck!

Re: Anyone not going into the city?
I really do not know what to do. My options for getting in are the subway and the express bus, but both are a distance from my house. the subway is a mile's walk uphill, and in a spot that is never shoveled. My only concern is that my boss considers Queens to be 'the city' so she never gets why I'd have any trouble getting in.

Sorry, Boogiedownbride, I didn't see that you asked location until now. I'm in West Babylon, but I work in Midtown.

Re: Anyone not going into the city?
The Port Washington line was running about 10 minutes late at 7.00am. It could be worse by now.
The city itself is not too bad at all - a little slippery in the streets but there's not much car traffic so it's ok.
Be safe & careful what ever anyone decides

Re: Anyone not going into the city?
Well I am working from home today. I went out and walked about 10 feet and the snow was over my boots. So I called my boss and said I would wait until its shoveled and she said to just work from home....
YAY...I love working from home in my comfy office with my kitty and FI.
Everyone who ventured out be safe and take it slow...there is black ice under the snow.

I came in- it's only a 20 minute PATH ride from my office and it's really not bad in the city at all...
