I don't want the 'typical' bachelorette party. I just want to go out to dinner and then dancing with some of my girlfriends.

I'm not. I don't really drink, so I don't really wanna go out and sit there while everyone else gets silly. Then if I do end up having a drink or 2 I'll wake up in the morning with a pounding headache.
Plus I don't need all the drama. I'd get married tommorrow if I could. I need no 'last night out as a single woman' I'm not 'single' I have not been for the past 5 yrs.
I think it's silly to go out like a single woman and prove what, that you can still attract a guy if you want? I feel it's disrespectful. JMO

I didn't have one, nor did my DH have a bachelor party.

Just not our thing. We'd rather hang out with all of our friends together...girls and guys.

i am- its a chance for all of us to get together and have a little fun. So many of us are at different stages of our life, getting married, kids, jobs that its hard to plan a night out. So we like nights like this. Are we doing anything crazy and 'typical' no.. were going into the city, seeing the donkey show and then goping out to a bar or lcub and dance... we have a hotel suite which we are all staying at so no one has to take the train and drive home.
nothing crazy but its traditional to call it a bachelorette party. im not looking at it as my last hurrah as a single girl im just looking at it as a night where we cana ll get together and celebrate my upcoming wedding- girls only!!!

I'm not...I don't drink either....and I hate going to bars...too loud...everyone drinking. I might try to get some of us together and we can go to dinner and maybe a broadway show.

You don't have to have a bachelorette party in the traditional sense. You can all go out for a nice brunch and get manicures, you can go see a Braodway show, take a trip, etc... do whatever makes you happy. I think a fun idea is to have a slumber party and stay up late watching movies and gossiping. My friends and I try to do that every-so-often just for the fun of it!

I would love to have a slumber party type Bachelorette party. I definitely don't want the typical get drunk and go to a strip club type thing. I'm not really sure if I'm having one or not. I haven't discussed it much with my BMs, and I have no time to plan it!

We are probably doing dinner at Lipps and then a show called The Karaoke show, from creators of Donkey Show ( I saw it with FH).

no - I don't really like them and it's not my style. I'd like to ahve us all go get manicures or massages but that's it.
I don't want to go to a bar. That reminds me of the days when I was still looking for someone. I never really liked bars anyway so if I get to decide - I'm certianly not going back to a bar.

FH and I arent having any of that...We dont agree with celebrating the last time that you will be single. We dont present ourselves to be single to anyone (except uncle sam, but he doesnt count) - so no point in calling it a bachelor or bachelorette party.

Instead we are going to go out for dinner separately with our girl friends and guy friends respectively and then we are going to meet up for drinks and dancing at a club. And maybe breakfast the next morning...

Either way - its just going to be a fun night out together - they way we have been doing it in the past and in the future!

I am not having one. If anything, I will have some type of shower/afternoon weekend brunch with my female relatives and friends.
