anyone not having a bachelorette party?
im wondering because this has been causing mucho controversy- mine is supposed to be this weekend (2 days from now) and we cant decide what to do- the girls have no plans whatsoever- and im sick of hearing we cant do this becuase of this reason ... and so onthe stripper thing has also become such a controversy too- my fi doesnt want them but the best man insists he must have them- who's party is it anyway? and my moh wants me to go to a strip club as well- not what i want to be doing.
arghhh - this whole tradition is becoming a pain in the ass
needing to vent....

Re: anyone not having a bachelorette party?
I think you should do what you want. If that is a strip club - then go. If that means going to dinner and then getting drinks with the girls - or renting a movie at your house - then do that - Whatever you want! Its suppossed to celebrate the 'end' of you single life so you should choose!

Re: anyone not having a bachelorette party?
I am not having a bachelorette party for two reasons.First, my bridesmaids live all over the US (Seattle, Chicago, Hartford etc) and it would be tough for us all to get together
. Second, I really have no driving interest. My idea of a great day would be to go to a spa. Strippers et. al. - are just not for me.

My girls are taking me to a bridal tea instead. I have NO desiree to do the whole strip club thing. I am 32 years old and it just seems silly to me. Plus I don't drink alchol so the bar scene is not my thing either.

Re: anyone not having a bachelorette party?
I am totally not into the stipper/bar scene. Waste of money and good time in my opinion. My girls and I did a weekend at the lake two weeks ago and had a blast. Went jet-skiing, boating and just hung out and then went out for a bit a night. Boring to some...perfect for me!

I told my girsl that I do not want to do one. I want to do a slumber party and stay up all night talking the way we used to do.

Re: anyone not having a bachelorette party?
i think it is a nice thing to take the time out and have one day or night out with your closest friends to celebrate your upcoming wedding....this is the only time in your life you will be able to have this occasion...you don't have to do the strip club or bar scene if you dont like that, but i think you should do something...even a daytime get together
if your friends can't get the whole thing straight then you should just tell them what you want to do and then have them make the arrangments...
whatever you do, have fun!!!!!!!
