Fiance and I are both not fond of veils. It seems traditional to wear one though. Even if I wear one during the ceremony, I know I'll take it off for the reception and am a little worried that it will mess up my hair.
Anyone skipping the veil?

I think I'm taking mine off for the reception - so i'm definitely goign to have to have someone practice that after I get my hair done!

Both my best friend and I skipped the veil. It makes life a lot easier, and anyways, most Asians don't even notice.

i planned on not wearing one, but i ended up getting a simple elbow length veil 2 days before the wedding lol. i thought i didn't want one and i was worried about my hair, but i kept thinking that something would be missing from my pics. i am sooooooooo happy i wore mine! i kept it in all night and it didnt bother me at all bc it was short. it just completed my pics.

if you are undecided why dont you go to michaels and get one for 15 dollars and bring it to your hair trial and see how it goes!

I wore a very simple veil. It had no beading and no 'poof' to it. I wore it during the ceremony and for a few pictures but then it came off. My veil was attached with a comb so I simply pulled out the comb. It didn't mess up my hair at all.
