Anyone numbering RSVP's

Anyone numbering RSVP's

How exactly does this work?
Do you number each one and make a list of who was what number?
Is there a trick to making this fast and simple??

TIA

I did it and I'm so glad I did. Some people's handwriting is completely illegible. I used an invisible ink pen and just gave them the same number as the line they were on my excel spreadsheet. Easy.

When I do it, ill just use a pencil and write it on the back and correspond the # to the list I have in Excel.

I wanted to do this and forgot until I got about halfway through stuffing the invites so I didn't do it and none of them came back without names

you keep a numbered list of who you invitations are addressed to and write that number very small in pencil on the back of the rsvp card. It is helpful. we had it done for us.

Thanks ladies!
I didn't use an Excel sheet yet!
I just used mailings and envelopes in Word from when I sent out STDs and E-party invites and added to that list!

LOL the illegible is annoying! I had an e-party and someone gave us a card and I couldn't make out the signature for beans! I sent out Thank You's to everyone, but I felt weird about not knowing who it was!!

How does it work with invisible ink? Do you need a special light or something to see it??

Same, except we're just using a light yellow colored pencil

The one I got has a teeny tiny blacklight in the cap, so you just press a little button on the cap and the light turns on. The pen only cost a couple of bucks, well worth it.

I am doing this... using the # from my excel sheet (whichever line they are on). I bought my pen this weekend at Toys R Us (couldn't find at any craft stores). They had it in the SPY section/ dective toys... It was $10 for 2 pens and each pen has a tiny light on the end of it for you to hold it over the invisible ink & see the writing. FH thought this was the COOLEST thing ever!!! LOL
