I was all set to order my BM dresses from Netbride, especially after hearing a lot of people on this site rave about it. But my cousin went to get her measurements done in a bridal store, and the woman said that any barijay dresses ordered online will not be authentic- they will be knockoffs because Bari Jay doesn't sell their dresses online. I realize that the bridal shop has an interest in scaring people into buying through the store rather than online, but it does make me a little worried. Anyone have opinions on this? Any advice would be appreciated!! Thanks!

Honestly, I think the bridal salon Is trying to scare you off because they don't want to lose the sale. I haven't heard a bad thing from netbride. If you want reviews or the explanation of how this websites work you should go here
I ordered my Bari Jay BM dresses online, not thru Netbride, but thru RK Bridal's No Frills program and they were perfect. I honestly think she was trying to scare you off from ordering online. Go with your gut though - the last thing you want is to be worrying about this until the dresses come in! Good luck!

I was thinking about ordering them from RK's no frills program-- its only about $12 more with them. Did you have any problems with the size chart-- did the dresses fit the BMs okay?

RK's program will beat any price by 5%, just show them your quote from Netbride (you can fax it along with your order, if you are not planning on ordering from the store) and they will sell it to you for 5% off of that. It will actually end up cheaper!
Most of the dresses fit fine -a little alteration needed here and there, but nothing major. In general the girls just ordered 1-2 sizes up from there regular sizes. Those girls who have bigger chests needed a bigger size and it depended on the style of the dress as well. What style(s) are you ordering? My BMs are wearing a mix of 4 - 700, 704, 713 and 729.
Overall, all my BMs really like them and plan of wearing them again. I am sure you will be happy with them!

Did you fax them a netbride quote? I thought about that, but I didn't know if Netbride counts as an authorized dealer-- RK's website says that they only discount 5% from authorized dealers. I guess it doesn't hurt to try! Thanks so much for your input-- it makes me feel so much better about the whole process!!!

I ordered Bari Jay dresses from Netbride and was very pleased with them. I think Netbride does have an actual store somewhere, so that may be how they can get the real dresses from the manufacturers. When deciding between Netbride and RK No Frills, don't forget to account for whether or not you're paying tax and shipping at either store. Sometimes even if RK will give you a lower cost, not having to pay tax and shipping can make Netbride cheaper.

I vote for Netbride- I used them for my gown and loved them. And they are an actual brick and mortar store- Rush's in Minnesota. Also under the BBB for Netbride they have a perfect record.
