We met through a mutual friend who is in the navy. We'd all hang out when he was home...Christmas 98 though was when we actually finally hooked up.

He's a compliance manager in a bank.

He's the biggest baseball fan in the world...That's a hobby and a quirk! He's awesome though. He plays all sports and he does it well. He's awesome. I love him.

This February 5th will be five years!

I knew he was the one from the very beginning, though I must admit I was very heavily doubting his intentions right before we got engaged.

I met fh through mutual friends , I was mean to him because I liked him (weird) then i realized how cute he was and couldnt do that to him so we became friends which lead to girlfriend boyfriend which now is my fi. His biggest Quirk I cant stand is he explains everything over and over ........he will even draw a diagram lol ........ but i love this at the same time. He works in the city he works local 234 (something like that ) I always foret he is in the carpenters union. After about a month I knew he was the one because he could make me laugh even when I dont want to.... we will be together 4 yrs april 7 04.

we met through friends that 'set us up'....VERY LONG STORY
he's a store manager for GameStop Inc. (one of his passions-video games)
hobbies: video games (playing and collecting), Chicago Cubs, playing softball for his church, playing guitar, spoiling his niece and nephews
quirks: he's a big kid....loves to have a good time and make people laugh
How long are we dating: V-day will be 2 yrs we got set up, Feb 16th will be 2 yrs since our first kiss, and Feb 17th was when he asked me if he could call me his girlfriend
How did I know he was 'it': when he stood by my side every time I was sick wiht a cold, or my wisdom teeth getting pulled, or my tonsils out....he was always there to take care of me when I needed him

-His best friend and my best friend were dating, and I got invited to hang out with them the day after St. Patrick’s Day 2000 at this dive in Astoria. He showed up later in the night, and after a lot of drinks I told him he was cute and sat on his lap (very un-me behavior usually). We were both crazy about each other, and told our mutual friends, but neither one of them were very helpful (no idea why). We didn’t see or speak to each other for another month, then we all got together again, and the rest is history!

-He’s a graphic artist and printer

-He makes up songs all the time! That, or he changes the words to already existing songs to be dirty or obscene (funny, but sometimes it can get to be too much!)

-Four years this May

-I knew fairly early on, so did he, within the first month of going out. We were just always together and always had so much fun with each other, I couldn’t imagine myself with anyone else…

ETA his hobbies are writing, painting, drawing and mostly Video Gaming, which drives me nuts! When he starts playing GTA Vice City he goes into another world!

(Sorry if I'm being nosy!)

not at all twobugs...I love this story:

I was dating a guy that had just left for boot camp...My one best friend was dating HIS best friend and he was coming to visit from California...
she wanted to see him at the airport, so I went with her...Rich was there...it was a hey, how ya doing thing...SO NOT MY TYPE.
Feb 14th (A Thurs) rolls around....She invites me out so I'm not lonely and sad....in the interim between the airport and V-day, Richs' grandma had passed away and V-day was when the buried her.
HE called Rich to get him to come out for some cheering up, I begged him to not leave me alone with the lovebirds (via cell phone of course)
We picked him up, went to applebee's...THEY started fighting...Rich and I started chatting....
found out he worked down the road at the time and went to visit him the next day at lunch....he was surprised. He gave me his #, I gave him mine, but he threw mine away!!! (unknowingly of course)
The 15th we saw our first movie together...SuperTroopers and he tried to hold my hand (which I let him do-and I wasn't thinking of boot camp boy...)
The 16th, I went to a family thing with boot Camp boys family (a nephews' b-day) and Rich called asking to hang out...he came over to my parents that night....during the Winter Olympics (figure skating)...he asked if he could kiss me. I said yes.
The 17th...I went to his house to hang out.
The 18th My friends BF was supposed to leave, but stayed and wanted to surprise her...I took her out for drinks....they showed up....she was happy...they were chatting...
Rich asked me that night if he could call me his girlfriend....and I said yes. (all this permission stuff was SO new to me)
In the next few days...Rich had surprised me with Hallmark Kiss-Kiss bears dressed as:
Olympic figure skaters (awww how cute)

SOOOO....we believe #1, it was fate and
#2, his grandmother wanted us to be together

AND.....while we were dating...boot camp boy began to call from Texas...and even popped back into my life when Rich and I had taken a 'break'......and it was never a question that Rich had my heart

What an amazing story! I can't believe all that happened in a 4-day time span. I have to agree that it was fate, or Grandma. That kind of stuff can't be all coincidence!!
