puggles are SOOO cute.....BUT....so are lots of other dogs from animal care and control or any other shelter. i know certain people have their heart set on a certain breed, but why don't you first go look at the shelter. it breaks my heart that so many animals are euthanized because there aren't enough homes for them, yet people still continue to BREED animals!!!! there are too many in this world that don't have homes! there is no need to be breeding more animals. if you have a home that you're willing to open to an animal, please consider going to the pound. i bet you can find plenty of cute puppies there too :(

I groom a few of them and find them to be wonderful dogs. I haven't heard one complaint, only raves about them.

we held one when we went to go buy char-- he was adorable and very friendly. i think my girlfriend nicole (she is on here occasionally) got one before her wedding... they are supposed to be very friendly and good with kids!

The first one was the day we brought him home and the second is him in his bow tie for before the wedding photos.

Wow - I absolutely love puggles! They have big dog faces but little puppy bodies!!
I researched puggles a little while back cuz I was trying to convince FH to get me one. I heard that usually they are great dogs but breeding them is like when people have kids. You hope that the puppy (read:baby) gets the best characteristics from both parents but from time to time, they can get the worst of both parents.
Pugs are known for breathing problems from their smushed noses and beagles can have sharp tempers, so you just hope you don't get one with bad breathing and an attitude!!
They are adorable tho!

Actually, I knew someone that adopted one from north shore and she said there were others there. This was awhile ago but it's worth a shot.

My neighbor just has a puggle and he is the cutest thing. he is very playful and loves attention. He is also very spoiled.
OMG!!! How freakin' cute!!!! Just want you all to know that FH's cousin is getting divorced and needs to find a home for her pup. So we are considering the adoption so that she can have visitation rights. Otherwise I would be going to the Wantaugh Animal Shelter on Beltaugh Ave. and adopting the most ugliest, oldest dogs they have. I will def be doing that too- just after the wedding!

LOLOL!!!! the next animal i adopt is going to have a handicap. i also think that the less desireable the animal is to the 'general public', the more desireable it is to me. i need to go on deal or no deal so that i can win a million bucks and open an animal shelter.

This thread is cracking me up because my FH just called me today and said that he wants to get a puggle. His friend got one and he is in love with it. I am worried because we both leave for work at around 8 and don't get back until 6 and feel that it would be too long for a puppy to be alone. Aren't puggles expensive?

My puggle is a kiss -aholic he really trys to lick everyone who comes in the house and he has the longest tounge.

All of the new 'designer dogs' are on the expensive side. Usually between $600 and $800. Sometimes more depending on the breed mix.
