Anyone planning on throwing rose petals even if they aren't allowed to?

I've heard people do it anyway even when the church says NO. Anyone have any experience with this? I was thinking about being a rebel.....

My Church said I couldn't do it because of insurance reasons (they're afraid someone will slip on a petal and fall down). But I worked it out with them where I can throw them if I have someone clean it up after the ceremony. They were cool with it. Did you ask them if you could do something like that?

I am going with the 'Don't ask, don't tell' option on this.
They never said not to throw anything except birdseed, but I heard that they don't like rose petals.

Well we are only aloud to throw petals on the runner down the isle...check if that is okay....we cant even do rice outside...so we are doing bubbles.
