anyone really not into having a bachelorette?

anyone really not into having a bachelorette?

my BP keeps asking me what I want to do, and I really don't think I want to have one. FH doesn't want a bachelor party, either. I feel like we're obligated.

FH DEFINITELY doesn't want a bachelor party. I wouldn't MIND a bachelorette party, but nothing crazy. I don't want to go to a club--I feel so self conscious there!!!--but I wouldn't mind going to dinner or having a silly sex toy party. What are some 'anti' bachelorette party ideas?

I told my girls that what I'd LOVE to do, if anything, is spend a day at the ocean and just relax and maybe go out to a nice dinner at night Just hanging out, having a few drinks and some laughs. Nothing that involves limos, clubs, or getting trashed. I'm kind of 'over' that part of my life. If if weren't so expensive, I'd suggest to my girls that we do an afternoon at a spa.

Ok I am crashing....I thought Fh and I were alone in this situation. Neither one of us want a bachelor/bachelorette party so we might do a joint bridal party dinner.

I am DEFINITELY over getting trashed. I would much rather do something really funny but low key. Thank you for the ideas!!!!!!!! We are not alone!!! I would even do a couple of nights in Atlantic City, so long as it doesn't involve getting ridiculous, can't function drunk. (I'll drink and have fun, but no Pool Bar.)

Why don't you do something low key, like dinner with your friends or mani/pedis, it doesn't have to be a wild night out. Its really more about bonding with your friends.

We are definitely just going to go to McSorley's and maybe out for dinner. Nothing huge, nothing too out of the ordinary. Just a nice, fun night out with some friends I don't see very often!

You can make it as big or small as you want to! As long as you enjoy your time with your friends!

I've heard some people go to a broadway show or something. That could be good. I'd love to do a baseball game but my bparty is scheduled for the weekend of the mets/yanks series so there's no way I could get tix. It's ok -- I'm over the subway series as well.

I'm not doing one. I'm over it. I bond constantly with my girlfriends - no need to do it just cause I'm getting married. Nothing is going to change regarding my friendships (all of my best friends are already married) so there's no reason for one.

We do our girls getaways once or twice a year. That's really enough for me.

I'm not really in to the big bachelorette party thing either. My friend and sisters were REALLY into Awesome 80s Prom and Lips and all those kinds of things, and I just wasn't feeling it. But last I heard they finally decided to take what I like in to consideration and I think we're going to do wineries and dinner and maybe drinks after, and I'd be probably more comfortable with that.

I really don't want one but FH does. I think that we stopped being bachelors and bachelorettes a loooong time ago.

If I do anything I plan on doing something very low-key... but in my opinion, they are silly!

I'm going out with my friends but I'm anti peen-necklaces and sashes- but thats my personal feeling...I don't even want ppl to know it's a 'bachelorette party', more like a girls night out but a little nicer and a personal celebration for no strangers to know about haha

I am partying it up at Fire Island, but my friends no not to have the phallic symbols at my b-party. I made that VERY VERY clear. But bring on the sash and tiara, I love being the center of attention!

My DH didn't want one, since his guys were OOT it worked okay with no pressure. I really wanted to go to Vegas but it wasn't in our budget, so I opted for a some spa treatments and then dinner at the Melting Pot. Worked perfectly and everyone was happy and not completely broke. Do what you want.

We're really not doing anything in the end. Saturday we all went out together after I got off work for good, and we all got waaaaastey with all our friends!!! It was fun. Then today we were all going to go to Six Flags but it just ended up being me and FH and my friend Mariana. It was a good time. That's it though. We're not really into it, not a big deal for us.

I wasn't that into it but we wound up doing a bowling party with pizza and beer and soda and mozzarella sticks, etc. My aunts and cousins came in addition to friends and it was a great time and only 2-3 hours. We used Smithtown Lanes and they did a GREAT job.
