We need to buy a living room set, all we have is a loveseat and its about to die...we are moving in a week so it would be great to just have new couches delivered when we move in!

When we bought our Co-op last year we didnt have anything, and we bought a full couch, loveseat, oversized chair at The Place on route 110, Farmingdale.
That whole strip is furniture stores and there will be some great sales this weekend! Good luck!

Try levitz, they usually have pretty good sales and i believe they might be running a no payments, no interest until 2011 deal. You are allowed to make payments before then though to have it paid off by the time the interest starts.

FH and I are in th process of buying a living room set. We looked at a few places and we like Bob's Discount Furniture. It is well made and they have good prices.

defin try 110, and tell them you want to see sets available in a weeks time.
MOST furniture takes 4-8 weeks for delivery
But sometimes they have stuff in stock you can take right away

i have to agree with the route 110 idea. when we got our appartment we had NOTHING b/c we both lived at home. We got our couch and chair from Jennifer Convertibles and our bed frame from Bob's Discount Furniture.
If you go today, i'm sure there are tons of sales going on.

I happen to love Ikea. I bought a couch there 5 years ago and it's still in great shape. And they have some really great patters and what not. I like them because most of their couches are not overstuffed - they are very boxy in shape and that's the look I like - I do not like puffy couches.

I heard that comfort furniture is closing and they are taking all reasonable offers. They are on the right side of rt. 110 if you are going north. I think they are just past Burger King. Happy shopping!

We went to Bob's on 110 and they had some really nice stuff. We bought a dinning room set for $500 !

I would definitely recommend IKEA- my roommate and I got a couch from there and it was really cheap and really fantastic! I don't know if they have leather, but we had a really nice couch and they make the slipcovers to go over them. Plus those are easy to clean. Good luck shopping and moving!!!

They did have some really amazing prices! Levitz has some great deals when they're running sales too. And, I have never been there but my friend keeps raving about a furniture place on Sunrise Highway in Islip called Out of the Box, she says they have some really cool, different stuff.

There are alot of nice furn places out in LI, I was soo amuzed by my cousins bec of the great quality wood and even a huge mattress was included and these amazing lamps (2) for sooo cheap, I was jealous, lol

We got our bedroom furniture from The Place on 110 and our couches which consist of a reclinder, loves seat and couch with recliners in them from Lazyboy....i wouldnt give those couches up for the life of me!

I would definitely reccomend Bob's. I just bought furniture and did a lot of research.
I know a lot of people said The Place but you wouldn't believe how many complaints they have filed against them with BBB. Sooooo many people who paid for furniture and never saw it.
Levitz has good stuff but some of it can be pricey and the customer service there is sh*t!
