ANYONE REGISTER @ TARGET?

Just wondering if anyone has registered with them and how it went?

I had registered with them on-line, it went really well as long as the person buying remembers to take it off the list.
I had only 1 duplicate.

eta: that was my mil - she doesnt know how to use a computer!

Yes and they never took stuff off that people bought and discontinued stuff without notifying us.

a friend of mine registered at Target and had the worst experience....no one took anything off her registry and had multiple duplicates, some things became discontinued and she wasn't notified, and their return policy is the worst....they only let you exchange for the same thing without a receipt!!!

I did...I was lucky and didn't have any problems. Only one duplicate and I had the gift receipt. That is the biggest problem with them, their return policy. I got into a big fight with them over this. I bought a sweater there that I later changed my mind about but lost the reciept. I was hoping to get store credit or something since it still had all the tags on it (clearly stating Target). They wouldn't except it back. I am stuck with it. They will not take any returns or exchanges without a receipt. No exceptions. Unless of course it is an item under $10. Just make sure everyone knows this and that they attach the gift receipt to your gift and you will be fine.

Actually, returning stuff was not bad for us. We registered for a backyard gazebo thing (it was $199), got two ... we returned and they gave us credit on a giftcard, no hassles.

We were going to until we found out about their return policy. It sucks! Without receipt, you can only return for same price, same item.

We did Fortunoff and Bed Bath & Beyond or as a friend calls it Blood Bath & Beyond!

I did, but decided to cancel it when I heard about all the negative experiences people had with it. We went with Fortunoff and BB&B.

Fortunoff is no better! They discontiued my towels & sheets and NEVER TOLD ME!! But sent me emails about the $1.99 rice paddle that was no longer available!!

I just did and let me tell you, I went crazy in the store and came home and did some more. The girl at the cust ser. desk wasn't the brightest (new store in Farmingdale) I've heard good and bad things about them so we'll see in time.

We registered with them. We got almost everything off of our Target registry. Registering is a little annoying because many of the people that work there are not the sharpest tools in the shed. We only got one duplicate but quite a bit of stuff was discontinued. We ahd to update a couple of times.

the only advice i'll offer is what i learend from dh's cousin....she registered but then most of her stuff wound up on clearance - which was hard to find in the end...so just check every so often or have someone else assigned to check and make sure they didn't 'clearance' anything you really want!!

(she wound up without a dinnerware set, glasses, sheets and a few other things she really wanted b/c they chaged brand lines at target!!)

We registered at Target. I had no bad expieriences with them. They have recently changed their return policy regarding gift registries. They use to be REALLY BAD! I can honestly say Fortunoff is no better. They discontinued a lot of our stuff Towels Sheets Comforter. A LOT. I just checked fortunoff a lot and at our 3 month mark we went and updated both registries. I think no matter what store u register at this will happen.

i had no problems with them really i didnt get any duplicates. the only mistake they made actually was in my favor lol my aunt wanted to buy me my microwave and when i registered it came up as 29.99 and i never knew that it was the wrong price it should have been 99.99 so after fighting with them my aunt got it for that price and was able to but me more stuff. also macys wasnt better in my case i registered alot of stuff on line and most of it wasnt available in the stores on the east coast and had to be direct shipped from there warehouse. they also stopped selling alot of the stuff i picked and i had to register all over again in the store
