My DH and I went to Great Adventure yesterday with some friends and noticed many great old rollercoasters were still around along with the great new ones, but I noticed that the stand up rollercoaster was missing. Does anyone remember what that one was called???
I think it came out around when the scream machine was new (which is still there).
Also- have to say, the new superman rollercoaster is GREAT!!! Very scarry!!!!!

Shoot, I can't remember the name either. It was yellow and black and when it first came out, the line was so long that it took nearly 2 hours to get on (I think it started with an S but I can't be positive).
My favorite is still rolling thunder (and the lines are always short so you can ride again and again). The old wooden coasters are the best. I'm not into the twists and turns and upside down and all that stuf - I LOVE the drops and the sensation in my belly. Crazy, huh?

was it shockwave? I first went on the standup at Kings Dominion and i LOVED it!!! and thats when i didn't go on rollercoasters. that one made me love them again

They have the Superman roller coaster at Six Flags in Maryland. It's the only roller coaster that I HATE! I don't like that negative-G thing at the top of the hills and I don't like how the only thing holding you in is that little lap bar!

annigirl... I think the rollercoaster might be a different one. This superman had you hanging face down and you are strapped in by many harnesses. Not just a lap belt. It was scary but a lot of fun!!!!

OMG Shockwave! I've been wracking my brain trying to remember that. It was the first upside down roller coaster I went on and was screaming and laughing so hard that I was crying. My friends all thought I was crying because I was terrified! Man...you just brought back some really old memories!!

i love six flags, me and fiance have had season passes the last 3 years, although now im starting to become a whimp on the spinning rides
