Anyone see the movie 'The House of Sand & Fog?'

Who has seen this movie? What did you think? It stars Jennifer Connelly and Ben Kingsley.

FH and I rented it this weekend and watched it last night. We had no idea what the premise was, but it was simply phenominal. Great story, incredible acting. I really think it was overlooked last year when it came out... it was Oscar worthy, IMO

It made a HUGE emotional impact on both myself and FH last night. What an amazing movie, the best I've seen in awhile. I highly recommend it.

I saw it.. I thought it was amazing. I thought that Connelly was great and that Kingsley not only totally deserved his nomiantion.. but I wanted him to win. It was powerful and moving. And I loved it.

I would have given him the Award, Seriously.

My final point about the movie is -- It was even better than Cabin Fever.

I really liked it. Ben Kingsley was amazing. If you like him, you should also see Sexy Beast - he was the anti-Ghandi in that one.

My final point about the movie is -- It was even better than Cabin Fever.

OMG -- we AGREE on something! LOL

I do think that Ben Kingsley gave the one of the best performances I've EVER seen by an actor in a movie .. Had I seen this movie b/f the Oscars, I would have been rooting for him myself. He was just superb. And for my 'manly man' of a FH to be brought to tears by the end of this movie (don't tell him I told you!) .. well its GOT to be good acting to make him cry.

But BETTER than Cabin Fever? Well .. hmm .. i dunno about that! (I will shamelessly admit I enjoyed that movie as well)

There were so many things wrong with Cabin Fever... yet it was soooo right.

Looks like we can also agree that our respective baseball teams had an awful weekend. Total yuck!
