Anyone superstitious!
I know it is a silly question, but would you purposely avoid having your wedding on a Friday the 13th?

I am getting married on Friday the 13th - December 13, 2002. When we first picked our date, everyone's comments bothered me. But our standard reply has been to throw some cultural information to the naysayers. We tell them that in Italy '13' is considered a lucky number (children are given necklaces with the number 13 for good luck) and since my fiance and I are both Italian, our families consider this lucky.
We almost got married on the Friday the 13th, lack of days available...and it wasnt going to affect our decision..it is just another day..and you are getting married to the man you love..how lucky is that!
My FI and I are very superstitious... We knock on wood and everything! I don't think we could have our wedding on a Friday the 13th. It would definitely bother us. But, I'm sure it would be fine. Good luck!
I am getting married on Friday the 13th (December 13th too!!) and as mentioned earlier the comments used to bother me, but not anymore. We couldn't afford the Saturday, and did not want to have it too close to Christmas or the week before, because I am a school librarian and we didn't want to wait 2 weeks to take our honeymoon. I mean, who the heck really cares. If you think something is going to happen on a certain day of the year just because of the number associated with it, you better not leave your house at all that day, much less get married! It's just very sillly to me.
I was this close to booking fri, Sept 13th, without a second thought. I just wound up able to do a saturday, so I did.
