Does anyone take biotin vitamins? I want to take them so my hair and nails will grow, but I'm a little hesitant start taking them. I've done some research on it, but I just wanted to see if anyone knows anything about them. Thanks!

I must say, I started taking them 6 months ago because my hair in the front was thinning..like really bad..I heard of these vitamins and since my hair is growing rapidly and my nails are longer and stronger I use to never be able to let my nails grow cause they were so weak.. now they are stronger

what brand and dosage does everyone take.
I used to take the GNC ultra mega vitamins because they were great for hair and nails, but I stopped taking them. I wanted to just stick with the biotin instead.

I have been for 9 days as part of my new diet recommended by a nurse practitioner (spelling). I don't notice anything different yet.

I've taken it and it definitely does work. No side effects. I got it a the Vitamin Shoppe. I also took silica for hair and nails - also at the Vitamin Shoppe.

I personally don't take it. But I put nail magic on my nails nail magic Nail magic is the only thing that keeps my nails from breaking. I use it once a week. I cut, file, then coat them. If I don't cut them they get too long and I get them caught on things like small children (oops).

5mg once a day in capsule form (capsules break down and are absorbed into your body much easier than tablets) I used to be a store manager for the Vitamin Shoppe so I have all sorts of random knowledge about supplements floating around in my brain.
