Re: Anyone take the GMAT?

I took the GMAT a few years ago. I studied using some test prep book I bought at Barnes & Noble. I would suggest taking a pretest and seeing what areas are your weakest. Focus your studies on the weak areas. Also get a test prep book that comes with computerized practice tests so you can get used to taking the exam on a PC.

I took it. I'm horrible at math, so I took a prep class through NYU Continuing Ed (way less than Kaplan or Princeton) and also had a private tutor. I didn't do too hot on the math section anyway- but way better than I would've done.
I still got into Baruch and am starting my 2nd semester soon.

I took it right after college. I bought the paper book from ETS with practice questions and did them none stop. Scored 700, but still didn't apply to schools. Have to make sure I apply before fall 2004 before the score runs out.

i took it and i guess i wasnt too serious about it b/c i studied for only 2 days...but i guess i did okay anyway b/c it got me into a good mba program...if i were to take it again, i would study a bit more...i agree with earlier suggestions to take a pre-test and see how you do and what your weaknesses are...then you can see where you need the most help...
