anyone thinking of getting a babysitter for children at the wedding?

anyone thinking of getting a babysitter for children at the wedding?

I am thinking about doing this for my flower girl (the only child) so her parents can continue to party (and drink) and have fun after she gets tired. They are planning on staying right upstairs in our RH (which has a hotel) so i am thinking it would be a nice thing to do for them.

Any thoughts? Recommendations?

We invited my future sister in law's parents to our wedding so that they could babysit their grandchildren.

FH's niece and nephew are in the bridal party, and we thought it would be a good idea for them to have their other grandparents to just come along anyway.

I have a total of 6 neices and nephews...ranges from 6mths to 11 yrs old. I am thinking of getting a sitter also BUT my sister in law and my sister are a little picking of who will be watching their children because they are so little. So I am not sure if I want to take on that responsibility of finding someone...also I am sure they would be REALLY expensive because I would need them for a long period of time....so yea I dunno what to do about this either

We are thinking about it. My son is 5 and he may get tired by the time the reception is over. Also, in case there are any unexpected children that show up, they can all hang out together.

we might get one for our 5 yo fg and her friend. They are the only kids, but they might get tired. If we do we are going to hire one of my HS aged cousins friends.

We're having an adult only reception, but I used to be a babysitter at a few weddings back when I was in high school.

For one wedding, I got paid $70 for the whole night, and watched about 6 kids in one hotel room. For another wedding, I was paid $50 but it was 2 infants, and again, it was in a hotel room where the OOT guests were staying.

It's totally worth looking into. I'd check out sittercity.com.

You should ask if her parents would be comfortable with this.
Maybe they have a regular babysitter they would like to use that day.

I don't have kids yet, but I don't know how I would feel about leaving my kid with a stranger.
