Looking for feeback good/bad for anyone that used After Hours for tuxedos.....
have heard good things and bad, so i'm looking for any info you have!
we used them for ours in june... the weddnig was in NJ, so it was store there.... but no problems at all- guys were all able to get measured, the tuxes were all there, they fit, and were the right ones... no complaints from us, although i have heard a fe bad things from other people- wasn't an issue for us...
I used them for my wedding and DH has used them for other weddings that he has been in. They are good because people from out of state have easy access to them, but you have to stay on top of them. Make sure if all of the guys do not go together that they have all of the measurements for the gms. Make sure all of the guys try on their tuxes the day they pick them up, because I have had problems with the wrong color vest or something not fitting or ripped.
We went to After Hours to book tuxes. However, FH didn't like that he couldn't try anything on. The guy told us that we had to give $25 for them to order one! We walked out. I definitely suggest a smaller tux shop.
MY FH used them in for a wedding he was in you can FM if you like for the review.
we made an attempt for After Hrs in Roosevelt Field Mall. the store was filled with little girls who were lazy as hell. there was only one person working and two girls in the back room yacking away. and they were not on break. it was clearly deliberate. anyway, i was watching the clerk measure guys and she didn't seem to know what she was doing. she kept on going into the back room asking questions on how to measure a blazer on a guy or the pants.. the store just totally turned me off.
I haven't heard good things from them. We went with VIP Formals and were happy with the service and the selection.
We used them b/c DH and most of the GM were out of state. We ordered the tuxes in CT. The only problems we had were the ones picked up at Roosevelt Field. The problems were eventually fixed, but the employees seemed young and unprofessional. I'd use After Hours again, but I probably wouldn't go back to the one in Roosevelt Field.
The only reason we were thinking about using them is because we do have gm out of town, one's in florida, the other in michigan and one upstate....Anyone have gm out of town and worked w/ a small tuxedo shop? How was it handled?
