anyone use sugar magnolias?

saw your post while looking for something else..though I didn't use Sugar Magnolias, they are GREAT. They did a wedding for a friend of mine and their stuff was great.

I met with Heidi, the owner, loved her, and her taste. The problem was i budgeted the less for flowers than for other things and her estimate came in too high (around 4K? i can't remember exactly) so i didn't end up using her and used Burtons who i ended up hating (flowers were fine, not spectacular, but fine - service TERRIBLE). She's really great though...hope that helps.

It's funny, I really loved her website and really felt like I was going to adore her, and then I met her at a wedding show and she really turned me off... she seemed to have kind of an 'I'm the floral ARTIST, I know best' kind of attitude... She actually informed me that 'If you want blue bridesmaids dresses I don't know that I would have you do blue flowers' when I told her that I had my heart set on blue everything. I was really disappointed because I'd heard that she was all about working with your vision, but clearly her vision didn't match with mine!

Meet with her for yourself though, maybe she was just having an off day, it's more than possible, and it seems lots of other people have loved her.
