My brother used them last year too and same issue as Cindy - half the band they saw at the showcase and that was on their contract did not show up. The band still was good but not at all as great as what they should have been per my brother. Plus the main reason they booked them was the 2 lead singers and neither of them showed.
Thanks guys--I am staying away!!!!!!!
yes i booked them for my wedding and they played my friends wedding and they were fablous! I went to creations office in nyc and booked them .. 212-576-1521 i think they have an office in long island also not sure of the number though! good luck

:
my friend used them for her october 2002 wedding and half of the band were replacements.
THANKS FOR THE INFO I WILL CALL THE OFFICE AND LET THEM KNOW I AM AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. BUT MY FIANCE IS AN ATTORNEY AND WE PUT A CLAUSE IN THE CONTRACT THAT IF ANY MEMBER DIDNT SHOW UP WE WOULD DEDUCT MONEY FROM THE BALANCE... THE BAND PLAYED AT MY FRIENDS WEDDING AND HER SISTERS WEDDING ETC.. AND THEY HAD NO PROBLEMS THEY WERE VERY HAPPY I AM DEALKING WIHT KIM SOUZZI , KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED FOR ME !
good luck to you rachel, maybe they are trying to change their reputation? it's a shame that so many brides have had problems with them. you are smart to put in that clause. i hope it works out!
They were fabulous. We had 7 piece band including saxophone. Guests were coming up to us and telling us that the music was great and saying how this band should be touring and is not the typical 'wedding band'. The dance floor was constantly packed with people dancing. We had a very specific list of songs to be played and they kept to the list. They also learned our first dance song within a very short amount of time. We dealt with Kim Sozzi, the lead female vocalist, and she was great to work with on the business end besides having an amazing voice. They have an immense play list which was one reason we picked them - they could play songs to satisfy the older folks as well as more contemporary music to satisfy the younger folks and they played them well.
Hope it works out for you. I kept on top of it throughout the year of my wedding, going to showcases, etc. Even the day I put my deposit down to book them I asked about this happening. I was told that this wouldnt happen. Not only did I find out a few weeks before my wedding from this board that the lead and only female singer wasnt showing for some weddings, I was still being strung along that she might show when they knew she wasnt going to be there. There were also at least two more people that were replacements for my wedding. When that many people cant make a wedding, they are VERY unreliable. Most of the few songs on my play list were not played either. They also had the nerve to tell a guest that a song that guest was requesting 'was on the bride's do not play list.' I never thought our personal business with songs were going to be shared with guests. I didnt know I had to tell the band that if someone requests a song on OUR 'do not play' list to not share it with that person. This created a BIG problem at my wedding with this guest (my husband's unstable cousin) that she had a tantrum that I had such a list. Hope it all works out better for you.
