Anyone use Verizon DSL?

Anyone use Verizon DSL?

We're thinking of dumping Optonline and using Verizon DSL since it's so much cheaper. I've heard that in other parts of the country DSL is just as fast as cable, but wondered if that held true here. Thanks!

I have it and I love it. But then again, I've never had optonline, or any other service, so I've got nothing to compare it to.

I had optonline and dumped it when we moved in here and got Verizon DSL. I barely notice a difference!

we used in for ~6 months when we were in Lindenhurst, and we had a lot of service outages and problems.

When we moved into the house, we went optimum.

I have optimum at home and DSL at work and I honestly don't see a difference.

Cabelvision is from the DEVIL!!!!

They charge soooooo much money!
We tried to call them to see why the heck our bill kept getting higher and higher . . . . . . . well apparently the price doesn't get higher, the just lessen our discount.

Well, when we moved into our new apartment, we went with Verizon DSL, because they were also our phone provider, so we got a bit of a discount.

I CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE!

I say go for it.

I too live in lindenhurst and had MANY problems with verizon. Our AOL 56k was faster. We ended up cancelling our verizon service because of all the problems.

I have it in Massapequa & it's been great. It's almost as fast as the T1 (I think that's what it's called) line I have at work.

We have had Verizon DSL for years and love it. We have had 0 problems.

I ordered verison DSL and never got to use it. They kept delaying the activation date. I Ordered it in December 3 weeks befor christmas and meanwhile january came and I still couldn't hook it up because they kept post poning the activation date. I got fed up, called them and cancelled the whole order and sent them back the modem and said 'thanks but no thanks'...i am still looking for a good deal. I have RCN cable but that is expensive.

How is earthlink? I got something in the mail from them and it costs 19.95 per month.
