Anyone use Windgate for thier after party or going to?
I was just curious how the place is. the one in garden city on stewart ave.

I was going to do that since my guests and I stayed at the Wingate, but after the wedding was over I was too exhausted. I had a few people come back to the bridal suite and hang out for about an hour, and I told people we would be going downstairs to the lobby, but we never left the room.
The wingate has a bar-type thing in the lobby and some tables but its not like in a separate room or anything, its just sectioned off with partitions.

The bartender leaves at 11 p.m. but you can pay to have them stay until 3 a.m. .... it's pretty inexpensive and I am going to do that. I know my parents and family will go to the bar for at least an hour so it's worth the money.

We did and it was so much fun. The bar closes early, but they said they would keep it open for us until 3 or 4 in the morning. I can't remember. So we put a note in our guests bags to join us there and it was fun. The bar is small but there is plenty of seating and it is nice to hang out there instead of a room since we were able to go to bed when we wanted to and other people stayed down there.
