I am wondering how the music sequence will be done. They are separate companies. I went to a wedding once that had both but they were within the same company.
I am thinking of doing this too. But they are both part of the same company. This way, the band leader does not have to be the Dj too and he can be out on the dance floor!
I was in my friends wedding (in VA) and she had both and it was great! The DJ played first and the band ended the night. If you can afford it, I think it's a great idea!
So Goldi it was literally half the night band and the other half dj? The wedding we went to they each performed in between sets.
I was in my friend's wedding a few years ago, and they had two bands and a dj. They had a Mardi Gras theme, so they had a dixiland band for the cocktail hour, a dj for the first dance, father daughter dance, etc, and a blues band for the rest of the night. All three were great.
